Dolly-Parton

born on January. 19th, 1946, in Locust Ridge Tenn into a poor family that would eventually comprise 12 kids Dolly Parton learned early to escape the hardships of life by using her vivid and broad imagination. Even before learning to write or read and compose her own songs. The first guitar she received was gifted by her mother when she was eighteen. She started singing at the Knoxville Tenn station by the age of 11. The first album she recorded was during the same year on Gold Band Records, a small label that was an independent. Even though she was still in school, she had already established herself in the local music scene. But her dream was to to perform at a much greater level. In 1964, the day following her graduation from high-school, she relocated to Nashville. Dumb Blonde, Something Fishy and Dumb Blonde both charted on Monument Records in 1967. Porter Wagoner, a syndicated TV show host at the time, was in search for a girl to sing for his show. Parton joined RCA Records and then joined the Grand Ole Opry. She was hired in the year 1967. Parton quit the Wagoner's band in 1974 when her solo songs like Joshua Coat of Many Colors & Jolene oversold her collaborations. Parton, after the split of their relationship with Wagoner, wrote"I Will Never Love You and saw it climb to No. The first time it reached number 1 was in 1974.
