Anna Silk was the first daughter of Peter Silk (an academic) and Ilkay Silk (a actress, playwright director, producer, playwright and professor of St. Thomas University). Anna was born in Fredericton. She is being the daughter of the couple Peter Silk and Ilkay Silk. Her mother is an "English-Turkish Cypriot expat" that is originally from Britain. Anna remembers attending the rehearsals of productions as a young girl and watching her mom doing her job. In her early years Anna was a part of a variety of television commercials. Anna relocated to Toronto in the fall of 1999 to pursue her acting talents. She eventually settled down at Los Angeles (California) over the next decade.
